Candied chestnut pieces in syrup are cultivated and processed in the farm La Castagna Leopoldina, which uses a closed-loop production system. This company is located in Tuscany, on the slopes of the Mount Amiata, where chestnuts grow in a century-old chestnut orchard at nature’s pace.
Candied chestnuts - a mouth-watering specialty - are produced in La Castagna Leopoldina’s creative lab. Only hand-selected chestnuts are slowly candied. Once they are ready, chestnuts may easily break as they are taken out of the tulle fabric enveloping them.
To avoid wasting such a delight, chestnuts are selected and packed in syrup to preserve their softness as much as possible.
They taste exceptional on ice cream with whipped cream!
