Einkorn wheat is one of the most ancient grains in the world. In the Middle East it was already been cultivated more than 10,000 years ago.
Triticum Monococcum is extremely rich in protein, mineral salts and vitamins - much more than common wheat and durum wheat. Einkorn flour is hence packed with wholesomeness and is ideal to bake genuine and crumbly cakes, cookies and pies. Baking leavened products with einkorn flour is not easy, so we suggest mixing it half and half with any ancient wheat flour, such as for instance Sieve flour.
Podere Belvedere is a farm specialised in organic farming of ancient grains. Its flours are unique and truly genuine products and are made from wheat varieties which have not been altered or modified over time.
