

The PDO Montasio cheese is a hard cheese. Lattebusche’s Montasio cheese is protected by the relevant Consortium; this cheese has few uniform eyes and a straw colour - a characteristic feature of a high-quality state-of-the-art product.
This Venetian cheese has a delicate flavour with sweet notes reminding of those hints of grass found in cow milk, with which this cheese is produced. That’s why it is exceptional both as a table cheese and to accompany vegetarian dishes.
The PDO Montasio cheese production area includes the whole region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia; in the Veneto region, it includes the provinces of Belluno and Treviso and some areas in the provinces of Padua and Venice.
