Oregano is one of the most widespread aromatic plants in the Mediterranean basin. It is deeply rooted in our culture; ancient Greeks used to give bunches of oregano as a gift to newlyweds on their wedding day, as a symbol of prosperity. Much better than plain roses!
La Nicchia is first and foremost a farm. They grow this oregano themselves, harvesting it and letting it sun-dry in order to obtain a fully natural product, with the scents of the land completely intact.
It can be used pretty much for everything in the kitchen. It can be added on tomatoes, bruschetta, hard-boiled eggs or salads, or it can be used to prepare sauces and condiments – whichever way you use it, oregano adds an incredible aromatic note to every dish.
