“Zuppa etrusca”, Etruscan soup, is a peasant dish made with simple ingredients; it has a hearty flavour and is nutrient dense. The Radici farm makes this soup with organic ingredients coming directly from its own fields: 35% steamed chestnuts, 31% steamed chickpeas, water and organic onions. The soup is then dressed with extra virgin olive oil, honey, salt and pepper; no flavour enhancers, preservatives or additives are added - only the genuine flavour of natural ingredients.
The Radici farm, located in Tuscany, makes genuine dishes with ancient flavours, stemming from the local peasant cuisine. Being aware that people have less and less time to cook, Radici wants to offer a healthy and genuine alternative to industrial convenience food. Their dishes are made with organic vegetables that they themselves cultivate in their own fields. The vegetables are harvested at the right moment and immediately processed, to keep their freshness intact.
The Etruscan soup, with its enveloping and well-rounded flavour, can be served with bread or beans. You can also add some pancetta or parmesan crust for an additional flavour kick.
