The organic cream of leek soup, with its sweet and enveloping taste, is a perfect comfort dish after a long day. When you don’t have time to cook or simply don’t feel like cooking, the company Le Piagge offers ready-to-serve extremely delicious dishes belonging to the genuine Tuscan peasant cuisine. All ingredients are organic and fresh; no chemical pesticides or fertilisers are added in the crop production or to the end product which preserves its authentic taste and fragrance.
The cream of leek soup is made with 35% organic leeks and a vegetable béchamel which is lighter and easier to digest, as well as suitable for vegans. When you first open the jar, the soup might appear a bit thick; if you prefer thinner soups, we suggest you add some vegetable broth to obtain your preferred texture: still creamy but lighter.
Add a sprinkle of finely chopped parsley, as much black pepper as you like and a thread of extra virgin olive oil. To remain true to the original recipe, pour the soup on toasted bread; the bread will soak it all up, thus creating a divine flavour combination.
