The Toritto almond is a typical Apulian product included in the list of Traditional Italian Agri-food Products. Originally from Toritto, in the province of Bari, it is recognized as one of the best almonds in the world for its sweet, aromatic and delicate flavor. For perfect almonds, the Azienda Agricola De Palma farm follows the traditional methods of harvesting and sun-drying.
The Toritto almond is the most commonly used in cooking, baking – of course – but not only that. It is the base of the “pasta reale” (or almond paste), but it’s also the protagonist of sauces and pestos. Plus, a whole almond enriches salads, fruit salads, yogurt and ice creams. It’s also exceptional by itself, as a snack or nosh, even for post-workout recovery.
For over 15 years, the Azienda Agricola De Palma farm has been producing prime-quality olive oil and almonds. The respect for the environment, the dedication to cultivation, harvesting, processing of raw materials and the care for packaging: these are the main values of this farm.
