The Pear Mostarda from Cremona is made according to tradition from fruits cut up in big pieces. The company Leccornie Doc has refined this recipe, by adding crunchy nut kernels. This traditional recipe was revisited by the company Leccornie Doc in a modern way and the result is nothing short of extraordinary.
The flavour of syrup is slightly spicy due to the presence of mustard essential oil, and is perfectly balanced by the sweet and fresh candied fruits. The pear and nut Mostarda pairs well with cold cuts, mixed boiled meats and aged cheeses, such as Grana Padano and PDO Provolone del Monaco.
A handmade Mostarda is made from high-quality ingredients; it is made by hand at a slow pace, as the original recipe dictates. Pears and nuts, whose content amounts to 60% of the end product, are candied in the Leccornie Doc’s workshop.
Leccornie Doc and its delicious Mostarda from Cremona brought a breath of fresh air to this great Lombardy specialty.
