

Chocolate Ricciarelli cookies are adapted from the authentic Ricciarelli recipe with a little twist. Pasticcerie Sinatti - a landmark in the traditional confectionery landscape in Siena - adds to its delicious coarse marzipan paste some exquisite prime-quality cocoa. Icing sugar is sprinkled on top and the cookies are soft on the inside.
The ingredients of these traditional almond biscuits from Siena are still the same: almonds, egg whites, sugar and orange zest fragrance with the addition of cocoa. These biscuits have a delicate flavour and perfectly complement a glass of sweet wine. Whether for Christmas or in August, these biscuits are always hard to resist!
