Pasticcerie Sinatti makes the best PGI Ricciarelli cookies from Siena in our opinion. We have tasted many good Tuscan cookies, but these Ricciarelli are just unbeatable. Sinatti follows the original authentic Ricciarelli recipe which was featured in the famous cookbook by Pellegrino Artusi, at number 629.
The ingredients of these traditional almond biscuits from Siena remain the same: almonds, egg whites, sugar and orange zest fragrance. Moreover, Pasticcerie Sinatti only selects prime-quality ingredients. Soft on the inside, more compact on the outside: the sweet icing sugar blends with the enveloping taste of almonds and the crunchy wafer basis. Although Ricciarelli are traditional Christmas cookies in Tuscany, they are also perfect to end a summer picnic on a sweet note.
