Salt and PDO Basil from Genoa - 100g

PDO Basil from Genoa is a great basil packed with incredible essential oils. This basil cultivar grows next to the seaside, as the Ligurian sea breeze strokes its leaves. Its leaves have an intense and unique aroma and this little jar of salt is able to preserve all these scents!

Pesto Rossi 1947 is well-renowned for its production of pesto and similar products. Its idea was to mix some of these incredible products with salt, implementing an innovative freeze-drying process.

Basil is wholly dehydrated at a very low temperature, in order to preserve its sensory features and nutrients.

 Salt with PDO basil from Genoa does not contain any synthetic or natural aromas; its flavour is the result of perfectly combined ingredients. PDO Basil from Genoa makes up 10% of the sauce, but this percentage would actually reach 30%, if the basil were used fresh and not freeze-dried! The rest is made of amazing sea salt from Trapani.
