Swordfish fillets by Campisi are a selected product belonging to the traditional Sicilian canning industry. These fillets are processed completely by hand and are obtained from swordfishes caught by angling in the Mediterranean Sea and Southern Ionian Sea. The water of these seas gives a lot of flavour to the fish flesh, since it has a marked but perfectly balanced water salinity.
Only the best parts of swordfishes are selected and packed in Sicilian olive oil; this ingredient was carefully chosen to best enhance the great artisan processing methods involved in the making of this delicacy.
The company Campisi is located in Marzamemi. Marzamemi is a village home to many historical tuna fish factories, whose livelihood is thus intertwined with the preservation of seafood products. Swordfish is processed here very carefully, to obtain compact, firm and soft fillets. This selected culinary delight is a traditional Sicilian starter that Campisi is putting on the tables all over Italy.
