Torta Pistocchi chocolate cake with coffee was created in 2006 and first introduced at Salone del Gusto event in Turin. It tastes great with a cup of steaming black coffee! It is the ideal cake with a perfectly balanced, classic flavour combination.
This recipe is a celebration of aromas: finely-ground coffee powder mixed with chocolate. The Pistocchi lab uses Sidamo coffee from Carlo Alberto Relli’s coffee plantations: it is a 100% Arabica coffee variety from Ethiopia which is very aromatic with a sweet flavour and citrus and flower notes.
Siblings Claudio and Claudia Pistocchi make artisan, prime-quality products without using eggs, butter, flour, added sugar, preservatives and additives. That’s why the cakes are vacuum-packed in the lab and must be kept at refrigerated temperatures to keep their fragrance and deliciousness intact for a long time. Do not forget to take them out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature - the ideal serving temperature - before serving them.
