The white asparagus packed in oil by Nonno Andrea make an impressive appetizer dish, either with hard-boiled eggs to serve with charcuterie or fish-based dishes, or by themselves layered on a slice of bread. It goes without saying that they are perfect as sandwich fillings or as gourmet pizza toppings.
They are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture in the fields of Nonno Andrea farm, located in Villorba in the province of Treviso. Nonno Andrea knows how to treat the land, by respecting it and nurturing its fruits.
Only the final part of the white asparagus buds is used. Their colour is milky white with faint pink nuances on the tips. They are fleshy vegetables, plumper than their green counterparts, crunchy and sweet. Then the mustard kicks in to give them that extra burst of flavour.
