The Zibibbo vine variety landed in Pantelleria during the period of Arab domination and the island is still the largest producer of this variety at national level. The Zibibbo grape is used to make Moscato wine, Passito raisin wine and, indeed, Zibibbo wine. However, Zibibbo is also an exceptional grape variety that is especially sweet and juicy and, hence, ideal both as a wine and as a table grape.
This grape, by drying in the sun, turns into an actual dessert: a super natural, healthy and genuine sweet that can be savoured at the end of a meal, as a mid-afternoon snack or as something to nibble on during the day.
